The Legality Rating.

This is a new instrument introduced in 2012 by the Italian Competition Authority, dedicated to Italian companies, with the purpose to encourage the introduction of ethical principles in business environments.
The applicant company gets a base score ★, whenever they meet all requirements from Article 2 of the implementing Regulation in terms of Legality Rating. The base score can be incremented by a “+” for each additional requirement the company respects among the ones required by art. 3 of the Regulation. The achievement of three “+++” entails the attribution of an additional star, up to the top rating of ★★★.

Whistleblowing: the reporting system.

Whistleblowing is a fundamental corporate compliance tool through which employees or third parties (such as suppliers or customers) of a company can report, confidentially and securely, any unlawful conduct encountered during their activities.
In English, “whistleblower” means “someone who blows the whistle”: the term is a metaphor for the role of a referee or police officer who calls attention to unauthorised or illegal activities in order to stop them.

Consequently, whistleblowing is the practice of reporting violations of laws or regulations, crimes, and cases of corruption or fraud, as well as situations that pose risks to public health and safety.
Beyond its intrinsic role in preventing unlawful conduct, whistleblowing has the added value of engaging and raising awareness among citizens in the fight against illegality, encouraging their active participation in improving society.

Model 231 and Code of Ethics.

Grey Mer has adopted the Organisation, Management and Control Model pursuant to Legislative Decree 231/2001, as a tool of responsibility and transparency designed to ensure fairness and legality in the performance of all corporate activities. The adoption of Model 231 represents a key step for the company in preventing offences and promoting a culture rooted in ethics and corporate responsibility.
Grey Mer’s Model 231 consists of a set of organisational protocols and procedures that regulate sensitive processes, defining roles, responsibilities, and internal controls. A Supervisory Body (OdV) has also been established with the task of monitoring the functioning and observance of the Model, as well as promoting its continuous improvement and updating.
An integral and essential part of the Model is the Code of Ethics, a document that outlines the values, moral principles and behavioural rules that guide Grey Mer’s conduct in both internal and external relations. The Code of Ethics serves as a key reference for all individuals working with the company — employees, suppliers, consultants, and business partners — and represents a concrete commitment to responsible, fair and transparent behaviour.
